The Tribal Liaison Committee is seeking representatives for the following tribes; Maidu (1), Paiute (1) to represent their respective tribes in cultural matters between the Susanville Indian Rancheria and other government agencies. REQUIREMENTS: You must be at least 18 years of age, you must show proof of High School Diploma or equivalent, you must be a member in ‘good standing’, you must have no felony, drug, or violent crime convictions in the last 7 years, you must be a resident of Lassen County for the previous 12 months prior to application, you must pass a background check subject to P.L. 101-630, and you must be a descendent of the tribe you will be representing. Committee members receive a one time annual stipend of $100.00. If interested, submit a completed application, along with a short narrative describing the skills you can bring to the committee, to Human Resources by 5pm on February 5, 2015.


The Susanville Indian Rancheria Language Program is seeking two individuals to help teach the Jamani Majdy (Mountain Maidu) language to the community over the next year and consult with our Language Program. Requirements: You must have a strong desire to learn and teach the language, be available to attend language immersion trainings, and work well with project staff and community members of all ages, must be 18 years of age, be a Native American community member in "Good Standing" with no felony, drug, or violent crime convictions in the last 7 years, and must be a resident of the aboriginal territory for the previous twelve months. Compensation: Consultants will receive $30.00 per hour. Program hours will range from 2 to 35 hours per week through July 31, 2015. The scope of responsibilities include teaching weekly language workshops, participating in a one week language immersion training and assisting in facilitating the SIR Language Immersion Camp during the summer of 2015. Pharmacist On Call
To provide pharmacy services. Duties include: preparing and dispensing medication, counseling patients on drug therapies, and monitoring patient drug therapies. Must be a current registered Pharmacist in California with three or more years experience. Must be able to relate to Native Americans. Salary DOE. Closes January 29, 2014


Part Time Psychiatrist
To work 1-2 days per week to specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders. This person will treat patients with mild cases of anxiety as well as those with severe disorders that can cause dangerous and bizarre behavior. The Psychiatrist will also provide direct assessment and therapy to the Native Americans of Lassen County and will maintain a client caseload with individuals and their families, works with groups and is involved in helping clients with emotional, social, familial and substance abuse addiction, prevention and rehabilitation. This person may hold classes and work shops or groups; coordinate activities with other agencies and generally represent the clinic as a human service professional. $80.00-$90.00 p/hr. Requirements: Completion of a nationally accredited school of medicine for Medical Doctor in Psychiatry, current license to practice in the State of California, two years counseling experience in a clinical setting in the social services/mental health field, and valid CA driver’s license and a clean driving record. Dentist/Dental Director
Who will be responsible for direct dental care of patients, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, and implementing therapeutic measures. He/she oversees the overall dental program including dental department staff, strategic planning, Quality Improvement, Case Management, and other committees. Employee benefits include sick leave, annual leave, holiday pay, medical, life, dental, vision, and 401(k). School Loan repayment programs may be available. Part Time Tribal Youth Program Advocate
To design and establish a culturally relevant program fostering a positive and respectful environment promoting the success and wellbeing of participants and their families; to identify and coordinate resources; to identify problems, trends, and demands for service in the Susanville Indian Rancheria communities and to plan, develop, implement, and participate in activities as outlined in the strategic plan. Requirements: AA/AS in Human Services, Behavioral Science, or related field, one year experience working with community prevention activities, exp with grants/budget, valid drivers’ license and insurable as determined by the Susanville Indian Rancheria insurance provider. $15.00/hr 42CFR 36.221 applies. Part Time Assistant Tutor
To assist with student tutoring (K-12) - focus on math and reading; prepare and organize lessons, evaluate student’s progress; help plan snacks; $9.00/hr 20hrs/wk; Monday through Friday 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Requirements: high school diploma/GED, 80% subject proficiency, CPR cert (or cert w/in 3 months). Complete background check and testing will be performed. 42 CFR 36.221 applies. Full Time Surveillance Officer
To be responsible for monitoring several closed circuit televisions, observing, reporting, and logging all aspects of gaming activities at the Susanville Casino. Prior military or Security or Surveillance experience preferred. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Must be 21 years of age or older, good written and verbal skills, knowledge of blackjack and other card table procedures. Ability to work in an enclosed area and independently.
